As part of RS Solutions’ continuous improvement and enhancement of its Bond Management & Adoption Support Service, we are delighted to announce a new strategic partnership effective from 1st April 2026.

We have formally secured the consultancy services of Marie Hill Legal Services, a respected specialist in the field. Under this agreement, MH Legal Services will provide dedicated expertise in the defence of claims, as well as strategic beneficiary liaison and advisory services in relation to Road and Sewer Bonds across the UK.

These services have been secured on an exclusive basis, further strengthening our capability to provide an unrivalled, comprehensive and high-quality service to our clients.

Marie Hill left her previous position working for one of the most prominent Road & Sewer Bonds Loss Assessors in early 2024 (click here for further information), and her joining the team on this basis represents a significant result for RS Solutions and the clients we represent. Marie’s 30+ year career as a Legal Practitioner and 13-year experience includes working on behalf of Local Authorities advising on claims against road and sewer bonds serves to strengthen RS Solutions’ existing intellectual property and expertise. A true example of ‘poacher turned gamekeeper’! Marie has worked directly with Stephanie Barwise (King’s Counsel), one of the leading legal professionals and trailblazers in civil engineering and construction disputes, enabling us to benefit from these dealings and develop our existing strategies and points of principle. This will help even further improve our award-winning BMAS Service which incorporates the following offerings:

Road and Sewer Bond Claim Mitigation
MH Legal Services will further add to our Legal Support Team and the Bond Claim Mitigation Service RS Solutions currently provides to its Bank, Insurer and Surety Provider Clients and their Representatives in the event of a Bond Claim scenario being initiated by a Beneficiary. Our technical knowledge, intellectual property and Legal Retainer Partnerships enable us to defend our clients’ position to completely mitigate a Bond Claim scenario or, alternatively, establish key legal and technical points of principle to negotiate and establish a reasonable settlement agreement figure.

Proactive Bond Cancellation Negotiation
A unique feature of the Bond Management & Adoption Support Service includes RS Solutions’ proactive undertaking of contact with the Adopting Party to establish a starting point for a sensible and pragmatic scope of adoption works to be agreed. MH Legal Services will assist in promoting and upholding a Surety’s reputation as a cooperative and proactive party, whilst also securing significant savings against any outstanding book liability. In scenarios where Road and Sewer Bond responsibilities are neglected and the associated infrastructure deteriorates, Adopting Parties often become frustrated and demand an increased scope of works and establishment fees. With many Bond Wordings utilising an on-demand structure, this proactive approach aided RS Solutions in achieving savings in excess of £10m on behalf of one of the UK’s largest Warranty Providers.

Further to the above enhancements to our BMAS Service, RS Solutions remains open to working with a range of clients to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective Bond Cancellation and Adoption Solutions are provided.
